Potvrđeno je da Ajo Motorsport će da podržava Malagutijev 125cc u 2006, kako bi zajedno razvili novu Grand Prix mašinu. Za njih će voziti zvijezda u usponu Tomoyoshi Koyama, 2005’s Rookie of the Year, i takođe Francuz, mladi Alexis Masbou.

“For Ajo Motorsport, this is a step forward,” said team manager Aki Ajo. “A close relationship with a manufacturer brings us good possibilities to enhance our development and technical know-how. Also our riders are happy with the contract and are looking forward to the first tests with the new bikes in February.”

Founded in 1997, Ajo Motorsport first entered the 125cc World Championship in 2001 and quickly established themselves among the front runners of the class. Italian manufacturer Malaguti has over 75 years of tradition and experience in the motorcycling industry and has been competing in the 125cc class for three years.
