Poslje devet sezona u Svjetskom prvenstvu, njemac Steve Jenker je odlučio da završi svoju karijeru u GP takmičenju sa svojih 29 godina. Odluka je bila veoma teška kako kaže, jer prošla sezona mu je bila veoma loša i nisu imali financisku potporu da bi bilo šata bolje napravili.

U 2005, poslje osam sezona u 125cc, Jenkner se konačno popeo za klasu više u 250cc sa Nocable.it Race team,dakle ponovo u Aprilia. Ali mirna sezona, samo 13 poena, 23 u ukupnom poredku....
