Drugi dan testiranja na Sepangu je bio pozitivan za Yamahu i Valea, koji je bio zadovoljan sa novom prototip verzijom 2006 YZR-M1.

U jednom trenutku se vidio i dim iz mašine i rečeno mu je da se vrati u Box, ali se ispostavilo da je u pitanju samo manji mehanički kvar, tako da je Dottore imao sreće......

“The engine didn’t blow up, but we changed the one we used in the morning because the feeling wasn’t that good. Today we were faster, the changes we made proved useful so I’m quite happy,” he explained to motogp.com.

“The bike we’ll race in 2006 will be different from this prototype, but it’s already more stable on the brakes than the 2005 version, which was a bit jittery. The power delivery is smoother and it accelerates more progressively.”

“Overall, I had a pretty good feeling and we were quick with both bikes. We had done a good work on the 2005 bike so we could get good times, and today the track condition was better.”
